Promoting The University's Research At Victorious Festival 2018
If you attended Victorious Festival this year and happened to be by one of the two main stages (the common stage, or the castle stage) then you may have noticed the adverts that played during the act change overs on the Big Screens.
Within these sets of adverts, you would have seen the RNLI advert that informs that you're more likely to survive if you float when falling into cold water. You may have even seen this advert on TV, on social media, in Guildhall Square on the Big Screen or even in the cinema.
This advert was developed on the research which was produced at the University of Portsmouth by Professor Mike Tipton. When I was asked to send on the RNLI advert to the guys at Victorious Festival (as I had the creative playing on the Big Screen in Guildhall Square) I couldn't resist but to attach a slide at the end that highlighted Tipton's work as well as help the university.
There's sense of pride when it comes to things like these adverts, for Portsmouth in particular. To be able to engage with audiences at one of the UK's biggest music festivals this year was seemingly an opportunity that I felt we couldn't miss.
Let me know if you saw the advert, or even if you had a great Victorious Festival, I know I had a lot of fun at Friday's event!
