I've Designed Bespoke Marketing Materials For Events At The Big Screen
An important part of being the producer of the Big Screen is hosting events for the public to freely attend. In my experience to date, we have never charged for anyone to join us at any of our film screenings nor our family friendly events. In most cases, all of these events are paid for by the advertising revenue generated by the screen, so it's my job to ensure people attend them.
One of the things I noticed most in 2017 were the amount of people passing through the square, not knowing what was going on. To combat this problem, I've used my design skills to work on a new brand identity for the screen that would sit both on screen as well as reinforced in the square, by mean of marketing materials.
To do this, I've produced a new "Join Us" strap line that sits as the core principle purposes of these marketing materials, inviting guests of all ages to come and see what we have in store for them, in the square.
Wednesday, 11 April sees the launch of the first official Big Screen event lined up for 2018 with our Spring Easter Family Fun Day, where Guildhall Square will be packed full of children's rides, an easter hunt, face-painting, trampolines, cartoons on the Big Screen as well as a gardening exhibition. On top of that, from 1pm we will be showing Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie, but I'll talk more about that in a following blog post.
As the kids are off school, we plan to brand up the square and hope to capture the attention of the children and parents passing through the square, to come and "join us".
